Diadou Sall ’26 has been announced as a 2025 finalist for the , a national competitive fellowship that funds graduate study for students pursuing careers as public service leaders.

Sall, a public health major and Antonian Honors student, plans to earn a graduate nursing degree with the intention of supporting the unique needs of immigrant women. Sall has been highly involved on campus, and has experience working as a peer health educator, a resident advisor, an assistant to the director of Katie Leadership Impact, and an America Reads tutor.

“Diadou is an incredibly smart and passionate leader whose plans for graduate school in nursing and midwifery are well-informed and well-aligned with her capacity to succeed in this rigorous field,” said Katie Campbell, PhD, director of Competitive Fellowships. “Indeed, her long-term career goal of launching a women’s health clinic within an underserved immigrant community speaks to her passion for public service.”

Sall was one of 201 students selected as a finalist from a total of 743 nationwide applicants. She and the other finalists will interview with the Truman Foundation’s Regional Review Panels in March and early April, and the 2025 Truman ۿ۴ýs will be announced later this spring.

St. Kate’s has previously been home to several Truman ۿ۴ýs, including, most recently, Anchee Nitschke Durben ’24. This year, six Katies have also been named semi-finalists for the 2025 Fulbright U.S. Student Program; the finalists will also be announced later this spring.

The Truman Foundation was established by Congress in 1975 as a living memorial to President Harry S. Truman. The Truman ۿ۴ýship aims to honor his legacy through supporting and inspiring the next generation of public service leaders.

The Truman ۿ۴ýship application process was supported by the Competitive Fellowships office as part of the Office of ۿ۴ýly Engagement, St. Kate’s hub for engaged learning. Competitive Fellowships supports students and alumni in applying for fellowships in all areas of study and degree levels.
